In today's world, most pharmacies have slipped into a business as usual model. We've decided that our position as a local pharmacy isn't going to be the usual. Esterbrook Pharmacy has taken a step back from the mentality of measuring success by the number of customers who come through our checkout. In fact, we're taking a step way back.

The term "pharmacy" comes from the root "pharma" which was actually used during the 15th–17th centuries. In addition to pharma responsibilities, the pharma offered general medical advice and a range of services that are now performed solely by other specialist practitioners…"

In most present day cases, the meaning of the word pharmacy has changed for a number of reasons, none that have actually helped out our customers.
  
Here at Esterbrook Pharmacy, we've decided to go back to the drawing table, back to the history books and study up at the school of "Doing Things the Right Way". It's our customer that is most important, it always has been and it always will be.

We have found that focusing on relationships with our clients - providing top-notch customer support and offering classes on how to live better with certain health conditions - may just be the one thing that is most important to you. Eric R. Esterbrook, R.Ph., owner of Esterbrook Pharmacy, is a lifetime resident of Berks County, most of that time living in Wyomissing. He is a graduate of The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science (now University of the Sciences in Philadelphia). Eric has over 20 years of pharmacy experience, 16 of those years involved in community retail pharmacy. He is currently the President of the Berks County Pharmacists Association, and a member of the Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association Legislative Affairs Committee.
